Quality Management System
CIS is ISO 9001:2000 registered with ABS Quality Evaluations. This system has been in place since first implementing the ISO program in September 1998. Lead Auditors for ABS Quality Evaluations audit this mature functional quality management system annually. Each audit is conducted utilizing the process approach with emphasis on the achievement of quality objectives. Each core process audit also includes support processes (i.e., Control of Documents/Records, Competency/Training; Control of Nonconforming Product; Customer Packaging Requirements.) operations maintenance, and research and development.

Special focus is on customer oriented processes and their linkages within the Quality Management System.

Every employee is given a quality orientation briefing when hired. Each section within the group then starts a training process that is assessed at least annually. Special training or certification may apply to skill sets such as welding, soldering, brazing, wire processing, wire terminations and coatings. Careful records are kept to evaluate the level of progress for each skill set.

Quality Management Team
CIS places high emphasis on contract review and monitors the processes, which control quality, timeliness of performance and cost controls.

CIS incorporates a "Team Feasibility and Commitment Review" which helps us determine what items or contracts we are capable of performing while meeting the requirements of the ISO Quality Management System.

As part of our dedication to our goals, CIS is proud to support the following manufacturing initiatives:

Armored Security Vehicle, Electrical Panels
Supporting the prime contractor, Textron Marine and Land Systems, for a four wheeled armored vehicle for the U.S. Army, TACOM, CIS is the sole source for four major electrical control panels for each vehicle. Over 100 ship sets are under contract with the potential for 500 more.

Modular Mobile SCIF
CIS is the sole manufacturer of the Modular Mobile Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF), a fully TEMPEST compliant SCIF designed by SCIF Solutions, Inc., that can be shipped in a modular configuration, assembled on-site, then disassembled and redeployed when the mission is complete. The Mobile Modular SCIF is the perfect solution for Military, Government Agencies, and industrial cleared facilities that require an immediate solution for secure communications, data processing, or data storage in a SCIF environment.

10KW Auxiliary Power Unit (APU)
CIS is prime contractor to provide 280 10KW generator sets to the U.S. Army, CECOM. These units are delivered to Mobile Electric Power in Ft Belvoir, VA.

Transportation Parts and Logistics Services
CIS has two contracts with Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) to provide multi NSN line items under IDIQ contracts for up to three years. Parts are purchased, packaged, and shipped to locations throughout the CONUS
